Community Pool
The Stone Canyon homeowners association has a fabulous gated community pool.The L-shaped pool includes 25 meter lap swimming lanes, plenty of water enjoyment space for all ages, and an adjacent kiddie pool.Lifeguards are provided at a variety of times during the summer season.A covered pavilion and barbecue grill accessories complete the scene.

Fern Bluff M.U.D. Community Center
The Jean Cochran Community Center built in 2003 has offered our residents many opportunities for gatherings such as monthly evenings for family games, scrap booking, story telling, and a stitch group.Additionally, the center hosts craft shows and holiday events.Quarterly movie nights, senior nights, singles nights and vendor nights are planned.The beautiful and spacious building has impressive inside and outside spaces, kitchen facilities, and three individual rooms that may be opened for one very large room.The center can also be rented for community or private gatherings.

Neighborhood Parks
Between Fern Bluff MUD and the Stone Canyon homeowners association, there are eight parks within and surrounding our neighborhood.These include play equipment and areas for a wide variety of age groups, sports fields and courts, and pavilions that can be reserved for special occasions.

 * Brightwater Parkmedium/large children’s playground equipment, hike/bike trail, bathrooms, covered pavilion with picnic tables and charcoal grill that can be reserved through Fern Bluff MUD, drinking fountains, open spaces, limited shady areas

 * Veterans Park small/medium children’s playground equipment, picnic tables, open spaces, shady areas
 

 * Friendly Oaks Park: medium/large children’s playground equipment, covered pavilion with picnic tables, drinking fountains, open spaces
  

 * Cheatham Park:  medium/large children’s playground equipment, open spaces
 

 * Park at Stone Canyon pool:  small/medium children’s playground equipment, hike/bike trail

 * Olson Meadows Park:   small/medium/large children’s playground equipment, bathrooms accessible with key from Fern Bluff MUD, covered pavilion with picnic tables and charcoal grill that can be reserved through Fern Bluff MUD, drinking fountains, hike/bike trail, baseball/softball field, large open spaces
  

 * Duck Pond Parksmall/medium children’s playground equipment, hike/bike trail, some shady areas
   

 * Brushy Creek Park:  small/medium/large children’s playground equipment, bathrooms, picnic tables and charcoal grill that can be reserved, drinking fountains, hike/bike trail, very shady

 * Brushy Creek Lake Park: small/medium/large children’s playground equipment (including small water park), hike/bike trail, bathrooms, covered pavilion with picnic tables and charcoal grill that can be reserved through Brushy Creek MUD, drinking fountains, large open spaces, limited shady areas, large pond for boating and fishing
   

Extensive Hike/Bike Trail System
Stone Canyon has three trails that merge into the ever expanding Brushy Creek trail system.The trail system is currently over five miles and growing.Well maintained trails that interconnect a variety of parks offer all ages a great opportunity for walking, running and cycling.
